Hikvision Video Intercom Kit DS-KIS602

The DS-KIS602 answers the most ordinary video intercom job there is: one entrance, one household, one part number. Hikvision supplies it as a kit — a door station and an indoor station boxed together and matched to each other before they leave the factory — so the compatibility question that normally costs a phone call is settled by the model code on the carton.

Specifying the two halves separately means two line items, two lead times, two chances to pair a station with something it was never meant to sit beside, and a total higher than the kit price. For a villa gate with a screen in the hallway, or a reception with one door and one desk answering it, a kit is not a compromise. It is the correct purchase, and nobody should talk you out of it.

Where it fits

It earns its place wherever the entrance count and the answering point count are both one. The trap is worth the rest of this page. A kit is sized for one door and one screen. The moment the job turns out to have a second gate, a second flat, or a resident who wants a screen upstairs as well, you are no longer buying a kit — you are buying a system, and a kit’s components may or may not extend into one.

Before you order — three things to confirm

• One door, one screen: confirm the site has a single entrance and a single answering point, and that nobody is planning a pedestrian gate or a second flat. That is the whole decision.
• Two-year view: ask the client whether another screen is likely later. A yes turns this from a kit purchase into a component specification.
• Current revision contents: kit part numbers get revised, and what shipped last year is not automatically what ships this year. Confirm the revision on your order, not an old spec sheet.

Compatibility

Inside the kit, compatibility is not a question: Hikvision matched the two units to each other, and that pairing is what you are paying for. Outside the kit it very much is. Whether a second indoor station can be added, and how the kit relates to a riser or a release arrangement already on site, depends on the revision. Send us the model you are replacing or extending and we will confirm.

What’s in the box

The kit’s contents for the current revision are confirmed on the order. We do not list accessories here: contents change between revisions, and a promise made on a web page is no use to you on site.

Common questions

Can I add a second indoor station later?
Possibly, and we will not pretend otherwise on a web page: it depends on the kit revision and on which indoor station you want. Tell us the model and we will confirm what extends and what does not.

Is the kit cheaper than buying a door station and an indoor station separately?
For a straightforward one-door job, yes, and it is also one part number and one delivery. It stops being cheaper the moment a third component is needed.

Main gate and pedestrian gate — can one kit cover both?
Treat that as a two-door job, not a kit job. Two entrances is a component specification, and we would rather price it properly than sell you a kit you have to work around.
