Hikvision 12-Port Video Intercom Distributor DS-KAD612

The DS-KAD612 is a Hikvision all-IP video intercom distributor for apartment buildings: sixteen 10/100 Mbps ports — twelve that also power devices over the network cable and four for cascading — with a built-in power supply, wall-mounted in the riser.

• Built-in 24 VDC voltage-stabilised switching power supply
• Sixteen 10/100 Mbps RJ45 ports: twelve ports that also power devices over the network cable, plus four cascading ports
• Store-and-forward switching with VLAN support
• Operating temperature −30 °C to 70 °C
• Wall-mountable

Where it fits

Apartment buildings running an all-IP video intercom, where each floor or riser needs a distributor to connect and power the indoor stations.

Where it is the wrong choice: 2-wire or analog intercom systems.

Before you order — three things to confirm

• Cabling. IP intercoms run on network cable and PoE — confirm the cable route between door, indoor station and switch.
• Lock and gate. Confirm the electric lock or gate motor it should release.
• Phone app. Remote answering uses the Hik-Connect app and an internet connection at the house.
