Common questions on this model

No, and neither will any other wall-mounted terminal. It controls the credential, not the doorway. If tailgating must be stopped rather than discouraged, you are buying a barrier.

Can we use its logs for an evacuation roll call?
Only as far as you trust that every passage was one person. Through a normal door that assumption fails on the first busy morning; through a turnstile lane it holds, which is why roll-call requirements end up there.
