The DS-2CD1643G2-LIZSU/SL is a Hikvision 4 MP motorized varifocal bullet network camera with a 2.8-12 mm lens, built around Smart Hybrid Light, which works on IR by default and switches to white light when it detects a person or vehicle, so the event is recorded in colour. The /SL suffix adds active deterrence: a strobe light and an audible alarm on detection.

Where it fits

Positions where the target distance is not settled before installation — perimeters, gates, car parks, long corridors. The motorized lens is zoomed and focused from the recorder or browser after mounting, so the field of view can be tightened or widened without a ladder.

Where it is the wrong choice: simple indoor rooms where a fixed-lens camera does the same job for less.

• The angle you need. Per the datasheet: 2.8 to 12 mm, horizontal FOV 95.9° to 29.2°, vertical FOV 50.6° to 16.4°, diagonal FOV 114.7° to 33.5°. Send us the mounting height, the distance to the far edge of the scene and the width to cover, and we check the lens before ordering.
• Recorder and resolution. Confirm the NVR accepts 4 MP network cameras with H.265+, and that its bandwidth and disk space still meet your retention period with this channel added.
• Power and mounting. Power per the datasheet: 12 VDC ± 25%, 0.9 A, max. 11 W,Ø5.5 mm coaxial power plug,reverse polarity protection, PoE: IEEE 802.3af, Class 3, max. . Protection: IP67: IEC 60529-2013. Plan a PoE switch or NVR port and the bracket for the mounting surface.

Will it work with my existing recorder?
It works with Hikvision NVRs that support 4 MP network cameras. For an older Hikvision recorder or a third-party system, send us the model and firmware and we confirm compatibility before ordering.

How far does it see at night?
The datasheet gives a supplement light range of up to 50 m. Real distance depends on the scene and on reflective surfaces.
