Where it fits

Positions with a settled scene: entrances, rooms, shop floors and lobbies, where a wide angle covers the space from a corner. A fixed lens has nothing to drift out of focus and costs less than a varifocal.

Where it is the wrong choice: long-distance identification at a gate or fence line — a varifocal model fits better.

Before you order — three things to confirm

• The angle you need. Per the datasheet: 2.8 mm, horizontal FOV 112°, vertical FOV 61°, diagonal FOV 132.4° 4 mm, horizontal FOV 91°, vertical FOV 47.8°, diagonal FOV 110.2°. • Recorder and resolution. Confirm the NVR accepts 2 MP network cameras with H.265+, and that its bandwidth and disk space still meet your retention period with this channel added.

Common questions

Will it work with my existing recorder?
It works with Hikvision NVRs that support 2 MP network cameras. For an older Hikvision recorder or a third-party system, send us the model and firmware and we confirm compatibility before ordering.

How far does it see at night?
The datasheet gives a supplement light range of up to 30 m. Real distance depends on the scene and on reflective surfaces.

Do I need an AcuSense recorder?
Detection runs inside the camera. To search and filter recordings by person or vehicle on the NVR, an AcuSense-capable Hikvision recorder gives the full benefit.
