So build the answer in on day one. Treat re-enrolment as routine maintenance, not as a fault. Make certain at least two people on site can re-enrol a colleague without ringing you — one is not enough, because that person takes leave and resigns. Agree a rule at handover: anybody refused twice gets re-enrolled the same day, not added to a list nobody works through. And keep a second credential type live for the few faces the camera finds difficult, so nobody is left outside with no legitimate way in. • Who re-enrols. Name the two people on site who will hold that permission and show them how before you leave. An unnamed capability is none.

Common questions on this model

What actually happens if it stops recognising one of our staff?
They are refused, usually more than once, in front of a queue. They use the fallback credential you provisioned, and the same day one of your nominated people removes the old template and captures a fresh one — the person as they look now, beard, glasses and headwear included. Leaving it a week produces a propped door.

Do we have to re-enrol the whole workforce periodically?
No. Faces change individually and unpredictably, so a blanket annual sweep is wasted effort. Make it event-driven: the trigger is a refusal, or somebody saying their appearance has changed.

Some of our people work in hard hats and safety glasses — how do we enrol them?
Enrol them as they will present at the door, and expect more than one enrolment for someone arriving bare-headed some days and in full PPE on others. Settle that at handover, not when a site rule puts a whole shift into helmets.
