Hikvision 2 MP Fixed Turret Network Camera DS-2CD1321G0-I
The DS-2CD1321G0-I is Hikvision’s plain 2 MP fixed turret with infrared supplement light — no colour at night, no deterrence, no motorised lens. It is the camera you specify by the dozen for ordinary corridor, stairwell and stockroom positions, keeping budget free for the few that need more. Project pricing and datasheet on 16454.

Description
The DS-2CD1321G0-I is a 2 MP fixed turret in Hikvision’s 1-Series, with infrared supplement lighting — the -I — and deliberately nothing else: no colour-at-night sensor, no deterrence, no motorised lens. On a spec comparison sheet it is the model that lost the argument. On a bill of quantities it is the model that made the job affordable.
Most sites do not need a clever camera in most positions. A corridor, a stair head, a stockroom door — these want a view that never moves, an image good enough to establish who went through and when, and a price low enough that putting one on every door is not a negotiation.
Where it earns its place on a site
The discipline is deciding, before the quote goes out, which positions are ordinary and which are genuinely hard. Ordinary positions get this camera in quantity, specified identically — same model, same mount, same settings, so one van spare fits any of them. The hard ones are the gate at night, the yard where the colour of a vehicle is the point of the recording, the perimeter that needs a light and a voice. The money you do not spend on twenty ordinary positions is exactly what pays for the three that genuinely need colour at night or active deterrence.
Levelling everything up puts a premium camera on a stairwell that will never repay it and shrinks the camera count to fit the budget; levelling everything down loses the one recording the job existed to capture. Where a position needs colour after dark, price this camera against the Hikvision DS-2CD1323G2-LIU Smart Hybrid Light turret on the same proposal.
Before you order — three things to confirm
- Field of view. The lens is fixed, so coverage is decided at purchase, not at commissioning. Measure the position and check the datasheet focal length against it before ordering; if the framing may change later, specify varifocal there.
- Power and switch headroom. Your switch or injectors must carry the whole run at once, not one port at a time. Total the datasheet power figures against the switch budget before committing to a quantity.
- Mounting and environment. This catalogue lists the model under indoor network cameras, so check the datasheet’s ingress and temperature ratings against the position before using it outdoors. Turret and dome mounts do not interchange.
Technical specifications
- Manufacturer: Hikvision, 1-Series range
- Model code: DS-2CD1321G0-I
- Type: 2 MP fixed turret network camera, IP not analogue
- Night operation: infrared supplement lighting (the -I suffix), so images after dark are monochrome
- Lens: fixed — not motorised, not remotely adjustable
- Listed in this catalogue under Indoor Network Camera
- Everything else — IR range, focal length, compression, power draw, ingress rating, temperature and dimensions: full manufacturer datasheet available on request — call 16454
Compatibility
A standard Hikvision IP camera: it records to Hikvision NVRs and to the IP channels of a hybrid recorder, and is administered through Hik-Connect and iVMS-4200. Before ordering a batch, confirm the recorder has free IP channels and firmware current enough to adopt this generation cleanly. If the site runs third-party software, ask us about ONVIF first.
What’s in the box
Supplied as a single camera in manufacturer packaging. We do not list brackets, junction boxes, power supplies, switches or cable as included — pack contents vary by revision, and the contents of the revision in stock are confirmed on the order. Quote accessories separately.
Common questions on this model
Will it give me colour images at night?
No. The -I suffix means infrared supplement lighting, so the picture after dark is monochrome. That is fine where the question is who moved through and when. Where the answer must include the colour of a vehicle, use a hybrid light or ColorVu model there.
Can I adjust the coverage angle once it is up?
Only by re-aiming the turret in its bracket. The lens is fixed, so the width of the view is set by the variant you ordered — which is why the focal length is worth confirming against a measured position first.
Is it better to buy twenty identical cameras than to mix models?
On most jobs, yes. Identical units mean one settings profile, one spare that fits any position, one handover conversation — and a maintenance visit three years later that is not a parts hunt.
