Where it earns its place on a job

Consolidation is right more often than installers expect. One building, one comms room, a client holding a maintenance contract, someone who reads alerts and acts on them: put all 64 channels here and use the sixteen bays for long retention and drive redundancy at once, which a smaller chassis cannot do. Distribution wins elsewhere. Three buildings joined by one fibre run — a recorder per building keeps recording when that link drops. A comms room that floods in winter or bakes through August. • Power, cooling and the cabinet. A chassis carrying sixteen drives needs a rack with real airflow, room to service it, and a UPS sized for the recorder and the switches feeding it. Confirm the comms room can host it in August, not just on survey day.
