Hikvision Interactive Display DS-D41Q30CA-1PH
A Hikvision interactive display: a commercial-grade screen with a touch layer, for offices, showrooms and teaching spaces. Decide portrait or landscape at design stage, because the bracket, the cable entry and the artwork all follow from it. Description
The DS-D41Q30CA-1PH is a Hikvision interactive display: a commercial-grade screen with a touch layer over the panel. Before anything else on the quotation, decide which way up it hangs. Portrait and landscape are two different products bought under one model code, and the bracket, the cable entry, the source device and the artwork all follow from it.
One caution on the code itself: the digits in Q30 are not a measurement in inches, and buyers read them that way constantly. We take the panel size, and whether the revision is rated to run rotated, from the datasheet.
Where it earns its place on a job
A landscape screen reads as a television: people expect video, a dashboard, a shared document — content wider than it is tall, read by a group at once. A portrait screen reads as a poster. It suits a directory, a menu, a queue-position board, a status column, scanned by one person walking past. Same hardware, different job.
A screen turned portrait is not the same purchase as one left landscape — it is the same box bought for a different job. Content authored for one orientation looks amateurish rotated into the other. A widescreen deck in a portrait frame shrinks to a thin band with dead black above and below, or stretches until faces are wrong; a portrait template in landscape wastes two thirds of the panel. No menu setting fixes it. Artwork is built to shape.
Orientation also moves where a hand naturally lands: one way round the touch band is wide and shallow, the other narrow and tall. The decision belongs at design stage, not on the day — by then the bracket is bought, the cable entry is cut and the content is built. Be honest about the hardware too: not every display or mount is rated to run rotated.
Before you order — three things to confirm
- Orientation, and who is authoring the content to match it. Fix portrait or landscape at design stage and name whoever is producing artwork in that shape. A screen that arrives before its content has an owner ends up showing a rotated slide deck.
- Rotation support for this revision. If the answer is portrait, we check on the datasheet that this exact revision may be operated rotated, and that the chosen mount holds it that way. Neither is safe to assume from a photograph.
- What the source is set to output. Whatever feeds the screen must be configured for the orientation chosen; leaving that to commissioning day is how an install slips a week.
Technical specifications
- Hikvision interactive display, model DS-D41Q30CA-1PH
- Commercial-grade screen with a touch layer: an interactive panel, not a passive monitor
- Genuine Hikvision hardware with the official one-year manufacturer warranty in Egypt
- Panel size, touch technology and point count, brightness, operating system, software, connections, weight and mounting interface are deliberately not stated here — full manufacturer datasheet available on request — call 16454
Compatibility
Tell us what will feed the screen, the orientation you have settled on and the mount in the budget, and we check all three against the datasheet for the stocked revision. If a second panel is going in elsewhere, the DS-D43Q30CA-1PH listed alongside it can go on the same drawing, so both screens land under one orientation policy rather than two.
What’s in the box
Supplied contents vary by revision and batch, so we promise no mount, stand, stylus, cable or player with the unit. The packing list for the revision you are buying is confirmed on the order, and anything needed beyond the display is quoted separately.
Common questions on this model
Can this display be mounted in portrait?
Often yes for a panel of this class, but confirmed per revision, never assumed. We check the datasheet and the mount, because a rotation-rated panel on a landscape-only bracket is still a landscape installation.
Does Q30 in the model code mean 30 inches?
No — and it is the commonest misreading of this code. The digits are not inches, and the range does not start anywhere near that small. We quote the size from the datasheet.
We have landscape content already. Can we rotate the screen and reuse it?
You can rotate the screen, but the content will not survive the trip. Budget to rebuild the artwork to shape, or leave the screen landscape.
