Hikvision Touch Display Module with M1 Card Reader DS-KD-TDM

The DS-KD-TDM is one of the building blocks of Hikvision’s Pro series modular door station. A modular door station is assembled from separate 100 × 100 mm modules in a frame — a main camera module, then whatever the entrance needs beside it. This one adds a 4-inch touch screen, where visitors can scroll a resident list or dial a flat, and an M1 (Mifare) card reader, so residents can open the door with a card.

Understand what you are buying: it is powered by the main module (12 VDC supplied by the main module) and connects to it through the cascading interface. It does not work alone. The model of the main module, the number of modules and the frame or back box that holds them are all decided together on the quotation.

Where it fits

Entrances of residential buildings and compounds with more than a few flats, where a list of push buttons would become a long column and a touch directory is cleaner — and where residents carry M1 cards. It is rated IP65 against dust and water and IK08 against impact, works from −20 °C to 60 °C, and mounts flush or on the surface with the rest of the modular station.

Before you order — three things to confirm

• The main module and the frame. Tell us whether the entrance already has a Hikvision Pro series modular door station or is new. We confirm the main module, the frame size and the module order before anything is ordered.
• Card type. The reader reads M1 cards at 13.56 MHz, at about 2 cm. If the building already issues cards of another type, say so now.
• Addressing. Modules are set with an 8-bit DIP switch during installation. Professional installation in Cairo & Giza, priced after a site assessment.
